AIVO is the Official Journal of the Society for Artificial Intelligence in Vision and Ophthalmology (SAIVO)

The Society for Artificial Intelligence in Vision and Ophthalmology (SAIVO) has been established in May 2025 as the first society in the world specifically aimed to advance the development, validation, and clinical integration of artificial intelligence technologies in eye care (www.saivo.org). SAIVO is to serve as the home where colleagues who are conducting studies and research in ophthalmic AI may share and discuss their results and receive inputs from other experts in the field. It is hoped that consensuses on different aspects and standards of ophthalmic AI can be reached through detailed and careful discussion. Moreover, Artificial Intelligence in Vision and Ophthalmology (AIVO), is the official publication of SAIVO and will serve as a forum where research in ophthalmic AI can be published and shared with colleagues.

We would like to invite you to join us at the 2026 SAIVO Meeting on May 1, in Denver, Colorado, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. More information about the Meeting can be found at https://www.saivo.org/annual-meeting

Dr. Michael Chiang, Director of the National Eye Institute, will be among the Keynote Speakers.
